Protocols by water type and use

CHLOREX is applied directly to the irrigation system via a Venturi injector or dosing pump, with no need for specialised equipment. Doses vary by goal: continuous dosing, shock treatment or tank disinfection.

CHLOREX application protocols

Continuous Irrigation Water Treatment

Continuous dosing to keep water free of pathogens throughout the cycle. Applied via Venturi injector or dosing pump before the irrigation head.

40–65 ml/m³ · 0.3–0.45 ppm ClO₂

Shock Treatment

One-off high dose to clean pipes, remove established biofilm and disinfect the irrigation network between seasons or after contamination is detected.

3–5 ppm ClO₂ · 30 minutes

Pond and Tank Disinfection

Treatment of stored water before distribution. Eliminates pathogens, algae and suspended organic matter. Renew the dose weekly.

1–2 ppm ClO₂ · Weekly maintenance

Seedbed Treatment

Disinfection of irrigation water in seedbeds and trays to prevent damping-off caused by Pythium and Rhizoctonia from the germination stage.

0.3–0.5 ppm ClO₂ · Continuous

Simple activation in 4 steps

CHLOREX comes as two stable components that are mixed on site to generate chlorine dioxide at the time of application. No special equipment required.

1

Mix

Add the 5L of CHLOREX (B) to the 20L container of CHLOREX (A) in an 80/20 ratio.

→
2

Shake

Close the cap and shake for 10 seconds. Loosen slowly to release the pressure generated.

→
3

Rest

Leave to stand for at least 7 hours to complete the ClO₂ activation reaction.

→
4

Check

Shake again for 10 seconds. Note the activation date. Ready to inject into the irrigation system.
